There was a film of The Beetle made in 1919 produced by the Barker Motion Play Production company in England. However, to my knowledge and what I found online, the film has been lost for now at least. All that is left of the film is the movie poster, reviews, the description of the film and the cast. 

A beetle is possessed by the soul of an ancient Egyptian princess, who is determined to get her revenge on a member of the British Parliament.
